Witzig Gallery combining -"Art & Architecture" opened on the
Clarence River at Maclean Northern NSW in early 2005. The gallery and
the architectural office designed by Paul Witzig won the Northern NSW
Commendation for Urban Design in 2005 and a year later enjoys
visitation from many people on a daily basis. The gallery is dedicated
to the artists of Papua New Guinea. The Witzig Gallery has joined with
many of the best contemporary painters of PNG to bring their work to
Australia. Traditional crafts are also available they include tapa
cloths, bilims, trays and baskets.
